Pastor Sue Trinklein
Pastor Sue is currently serving as Pastor for our church.  She is working with us to continue expanding and defining our identity as a free Lutheran congregation, member of the association of Lutheran churches known as Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ, and how we can best answer God's call to service in our community and the world.

Pastor Sue has been called and led by God from an early age to the ministry. She has completed training through the public school in Virginia on peer counseling and conflict resolution. She completed 3 years of training through the ELCA's Lay Missionary Program and served as supply pastor for worship and Youth minister in Bridgeport, Mi, and supply pastor in several churches throughout the thumb and in northern Michigan. God then called her to complete her training to become ordained and led her to the Niagara Lutheran Theological Institute where she completed the necessary training and was ordained on September 28th, 2014.  Since then, she has served as Associate Missions Pastor in Reese, Mi, and as a part of a ministry team in Birch Run until she accepted the call to serve as Transition Pastor here at Christ Lutheran. The congregation unanimously voted in 2019 to call her as their regular Pastor. Pastor Sue has also completed studies to receive a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling from Newburgh Theological Institute.

Pastor Sue gives thanks to God for His persistence and patience as He guided her to where she can serve Him best and is thankful for the love and support of the Christ Lutheran Congregation and Birch Run Community. We look forward to the coming blessings that God has prepared for our journey together.
